Greece

Classic adventure, now and forever

Seemingly scattered among the waves by the gods themselves, the Greek Isles were made to sail. You’ve seen their whitewashed villages and azure waters a zillion times on postcards and travel brochures, but even the greatest images are no match for the real thing. Exploring Greece by sea puts you in touch with a side of this country you’d otherwise miss, giving you the chance to see where history (and myth) happened, meet the present-day inhabitants, and, of course, soak up as much sun as you can get.

Why sail Greece?

Nightlife

The Greek Islands are known for their nightlife, but you’d never see it if you went on a big ship. We dock close to the action, allowing you to step out after the ferries have gone home.

Natural splendour

The Greek Islands lay claim to some of the greatest sunsets on Earth, and from the ship, you’ll have an unobstructed front-row seat.

Skipper Dave

Originally from Ireland, Dave (aka “Captain Morgan”) was a civil engineer before discovering his true calling as a small-ship skipper. An avid sailor since childhood, Dave now boasts more than 50,000 nautical miles under his belt and holds a commercially endorsed Yacht Master offshore license from the ISA. A G Adventures skipper/CEO of long standing, Dave is extremely knowledgeable about Europe’s coastal waters and is particularly adept at discovering the region’s special secrets and sharing them with his travellers. Some of Dave’s all time favourite and untouched Islands (even by locals) are between Athens and Mykonos. When he’s not sailing, you might encounter him down in Antarctica piloting a Zodiac for our polar expedition ship, the G Expedition.
